As part of a group project to create personalized symbols that seven individuals will accumulate into a grid, I have began to map the spelling of my name, both in its Ge'ez and Latin characters. The 'Lost' sketches(Draw_ers)






This project was conceived in 2005, while I was in the third year of my undergraduate studies. The school wide charette asked for an innovative playset that is highly transformable. Draw_ers was conceived as a cube that houses a series of hyperactive environments which can easily be stored or deployed. The variety of activities ranges from Basketball and Baseball, to Jungle Gym and Putt Putt Golf. The banality of the form adds to the element of surprise.

Repositioning displacement


Over the weekend, my client(Mr. aAwake) decided to relocate his residence on the site. Despite Mr. Awake's instructions to lift-up, rotate and reposition the existing plan, I have decided to reshuffle the program based on the 'new' constraints that are being offered by the 'new' location. The lighting and viewing parameters of the 'new' location, require new levels of opacity from all four sides of the residence.
